OMO VALLEY / Russia Alexander Bulatovich Footsteps

About this trip
The Second Mission (1897–1898): This was his most famous trek. He joined the military expedition of Ras Wolde Giyorgis toward the south. They reached the mouth of the Omo River and the northern shores of Lake Turkana (then known as Lake Rudolf). Bulatovich was the first European to map many of these areas, including the Kafa region.
